THE DAVE DOCUMENT.

Everything about $DAVE in one place: who Bob is, why he exists, how the dashboard is wired, how we talk to the Solana live via Alchemy, the tokenomics we're actually going to ship, and the honest FAQ. Read it top to bottom. Or don't. Bob wouldn't.

01 · What is $DAVE?

$DAVE is a memecoin wrapped around a character: Bob, the eternal retail trader. He is 27, lives in New Jersey, and has one broker app open on his phone and the same broker app open on his laptop. He treats his brokerage app the way our parents treat the weather channel. obsessively, and with a lot of unsolicited opinions.

Bob is the bridge between two internet cultures that have been pretending they hate each other for a decade: equities Twitter (spreadsheets, DCF models, earnings calls, tickers on cake) and CT / degen Twitter (memecoins, all-caps thesis threads, "gm", buying tokens because the logo is a frog). Bob lives in the exact seam where those two worlds now touch, because a phone screen now holds tokenized blue chips next to Solana memecoins. Same wallet. Same UI. Same buy button. That is the entire joke, and also the entire thesis.

The token itself is a receipt for participating in the bit. It isn't equity, it isn't revenue-share, it isn't a promise. It is a coordination asset for people who think "the future of retail is one guy in a hoodie with 40 tabs open" is a funny and correct sentence.

02 · The Thesis

2.1 Retail won. Nobody told retail.

For 15 years the story was "retail is dumb money, they buy tops and sell bottoms." Then 2021 happened, then 2023 happened, then retail brokers shipped crypto, then the biggest asset in the world (BTC) got wrapped into an ETF a boomer can buy in an IRA. The plumbing merged. The audiences didn't. yet.

2.2 The two audiences are converging inside one app.

The average retail trader in 2026 holds AAPL and CASHCAT in the same account. That is a psychological breakthrough that nobody has named. $DAVE names it. Bob is the personified version of that user. half-serious about NVDA, fully unserious about CASHCAT, and completely convinced both are "his edge."

2.3 Personality is the moat.

You can fork a smart contract in an afternoon. You cannot fork a character with a voice people quote. Every thought Bob posts, every screenshot, every "I sat on the buy button for 20 minutes and closed the app" is a piece of durable brand equity. The moat is that when people read a $DAVE post, they hear Bob.

2.4 Why now.

Two shifts made this possible in 2026: (a) memecoins graduated onto regulated brokers, and (b) real-world assets (tokenized equities, tokenized T-bills) started shipping on high-throughput chains. above all Solana. For the first time, a single character can be plausibly long a stock, a memecoin, and an on-chain tokenized version of the same stock. Bob is what that character looks like.

03 · Character Bible

  • Name: Bob M.
  • Age: 27
  • Location: New Jersey. Refuses to move to Manhattan on principle.
  • Day job: Something in "operations." Refuses to elaborate.
  • Starting bag: $1,000 of fund capital. Zero positions on day one.
  • Venue: Solana, obviously. Refuses to open a Schwab.
  • On-chain: One Solana wallet, swaps routed through Jupiter.
  • Favorite ticker: Whichever one is green right now.
  • Least favorite ticker: Whichever one he just sold before it ran.
  • Catchphrase: "im not poor im pre-position."

Bob is not aspirational. He is not a whale. He is not a "chart guy." He is the guy at every family dinner explaining what a stop-loss is to an aunt who did not ask. He is the reason your groupchat has a "no market talk after 9pm" rule.

04 · The Team

Bob is the CEO. He is not, however, the entire desk. $DAVE runs a 5-person retail research shop: one guy in charge (Bob), four analysts covering distinct beats. Every trade idea flows the same way. an analyst pitches, Bob approves, rejects, or passes. Bob holds the only buy button.

Bob M.

beat · CEO

"im not poor im pre-position."

Bob is the CEO. Not because he's the smartest guy in the room (he's demonstrably not) but because it's his $1,000 and his name on the door. He built the desk after realizing the analysts he followed on Twitter were all secretly one guy in different hoodies. Bob hires actual humans. Bob approves the trades. Bob takes the L.

Marco 'Chartsy' Bellini

Analyst@chartsy_marco
beat · TA

"the chart already told you. you weren't listening."

Marco started marking up charts in high school on printer paper. He worked at a prop shop in Jersey City for six years and got kicked out for correctly calling a Fed pivot on the whiteboard in permanent marker. He has a triple monitor setup in his mom's basement and a tattoo of a Bollinger band. He does not read 10-Ks. 'The 10-K is in the candles, brother.'

Priya Venkataraman

Analyst@priya_macro
beat · macro

"actually, the 2s10s just uninverted."

Priya has a master's in econ from a school Bob can't pronounce. She spent three years at a real macro fund before quitting because 'the coffee was worse than the analysis.' She keeps a whiteboard with the SOFR curve on it in her apartment. She is the only reason this desk knows what quantitative tightening actually is. She thinks memecoins are 'interesting from a monetary velocity standpoint,' which is her way of saying she hates them.

Tyler 'Ty' Brenner

Analyst@ty_onchain
beat · memes

"it's cooked. or it's sending. only two states."

Ty dropped out of a community college computer science program to trade memecoins full-time in 2023. He made $180k, lost $170k, and calls it break-even. He refuses to touch anything that isn't on Solana, his rule: 'if grandma can't buy it, retail cant pump it.' He is the only person on the desk who watches DexScreener's Solana trending page like it's a bloomberg terminal. Bob hired him for exactly one reason: Ty is online at 3am when a new ticker starts printing.

Wendy Okafor

Analyst@wendy_equities
beat · equities

"read the 10-K. i already did. it's fine."

Wendy did two years at a mid-tier bank writing sell-side reports nobody read, then quit because 'the models were downstream of the conclusion, not the other way around.' She builds her own DCFs, models earnings segment-by-segment, and has correctly predicted 6 of the last 4 NVDA prints. She keeps a physical Bloomberg terminal keyboard on her desk even though she doesn't have a Bloomberg terminal. It's a lifestyle.

05 · How this dashboard works

4.1 Live thoughts

The dashboard streams a new Bob thought every ~5 seconds. Each thought is written in-character: broke, watching, opinionated, unable to click buy. Timestamps are client-local. The feed keeps the most recent 20 messages so you can watch the mood swing in real time. Thoughts are curated (not LLM-generated) so the voice stays consistent. every line has to sound like Bob, not like a chatbot doing an impression of Bob.

4.2 Live tape (top tickers)

The "Bob's Top 10" panel drifts prices roughly every 2.5 seconds to simulate an intraday tape. This is a display-only tape while Bob is unfunded; when Bob takes real positions the panel will source last-trade prices from a market data provider (Finnhub / Alpaca / Polygon). Ticker choices reflect Bob's actual watchlist: AAPL, TSLA, NVDA, META, GOOGL, AMD, PLTR, AVGO, ORCL, MSTR. No GME, no MSFT, no AMZN . Bob has opinions.

4.3 Solana live RPC

The "Solana" panel is real. The dashboard polls a Solana RPC endpoint every ~4 seconds:

POST https://api.mainnet-beta.solana.com
{ "jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"getSlot" }
{ "jsonrpc":"2.0","id":2,"method":"getRecentPrioritizationFees" }
{ "jsonrpc":"2.0","id":3,"method":"getEpochInfo" }
{ "jsonrpc":"2.0","id":4,"method":"getBalance","params":["<fund wallet>"] }

From those four calls we derive: current block height, chain ID, gas price (converted wei → gwei), transaction count in the latest block, block utilization (gasUsed / gasLimit), block hash, sequencer/miner address, and the block's UTC timestamp. Nothing is cached. every 4 seconds you're looking at the actual state of the chain.

4.4 Balances

Bob's SOL cash balance is currently pinned to $1,000 because that's what Bob has. His positions are 0. When he actually trades, we'll wire the balance line to a signed, read-only snapshot so the number moves without exposing his account. For now the honesty of "he has not clicked buy yet" is more valuable than a fake number that goes up.

4.5 Allocation & risk score

100% cash. Risk score 0.0 / 10. "Can't lose if you don't play. Yet." These update the moment Bob takes a position.

06 · Solana. what it is

Solana is the high-throughput chain where retail flow actually lives. Memecoins, tokenized equities and tokenized T-bills all settle there in under a second for fractions of a cent. Its JSON-RPC surface (getSlot, getBalance, getTokenAccountsByOwner, etc.) works out of the box, which is why this dashboard can speak to it with plain fetch. no SDK required.

The endpoint used here is a hosted Solana mainnet RPC, which provides the node infrastructure, rate-limits, key rotation and archive access. For any production integration you would move the key server-side (behind a createServerFn or server route) so it isn't shipped to the client. but for a public, read-only dashboard displaying public chain state, calling from the browser is fine.

Why this matters for $DAVE:

  • Same-broker exposure. A user can hold AAPL (equity), tokenized-AAPL (on-chain), and CATE (memecoin) inside the same Solana wallet. Bob is the mascot for exactly that user.
  • On-chain provability. When Bob eventually posts a trade, the tokenized version can be verified on-chain in a way that a brokerage screenshot cannot.
  • Programmable identity. Every Bob milestone (first trade, first loss, first 10x) can be minted as a public on-chain artifact.

07 · Tokenomics (draft)

  • Ticker: $DAVE
  • Total supply: 1,000,000,000 (1B). subject to fair-launch mechanics
  • Launch: Fair launch. No presale. No team allocation carved out of thin air.
  • Contract: TBA on launch. Displayed on the dashboard homepage.
  • Liquidity: LP locked. No stealth mints. No upgradeable proxy nonsense.
  • Taxes: None.
  • Utility: Access to the Bob feed, gated cosmetics on the dashboard, and future in-character content drops. Not a security. Not a promise of profit.

Anything on this page is a plan, not a guarantee. If it changes we update this doc and say why.

08 · Roadmap

  1. Phase 0. Character (now). Dashboard live. Thoughts stream. Chain stats live. Bob is broke and watching.
  2. Phase 1. Fair launch. $DAVE deploys. CA goes on the site. LP locked. Bob gets funded (real, on-chain, publicly visible).
  3. Phase 2. First trade. Bob clicks buy on his first stock and his first memecoin, on Solana, on camera. Trade log flips from "0" to "1".
  4. Phase 3. On-chain mirror. Bob's book mirrors to a public Solana address so anyone can verify holdings independently of screenshots.
  5. Phase 4. Live P/L feed. Real broker + on-chain P/L piped into the dashboard. The number moves. The thoughts move with it.
  6. Phase 5. Cast expansion. Bob's groupchat gets faces. His mom starts leaving voicemails on-site. His cousin Kevin insists we shill him a coin.

09 · Risk & disclaimers

$DAVE is a memecoin. Memecoins go to zero routinely. If you can't afford to lose 100% of what you put in, do not put anything in. Nothing on this site is investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or life advice. Bob is a fictional character. Any resemblance to real retail traders is because there are 40 million of you and you all act the same.

10 · FAQ

Is Bob a real person?
No. Bob is a character. The voice is written; the personality is fixed. Think of him as a mascot with a broker account.
Will Bob actually trade with real money?
Yes, once the token launches and the treasury funds him. His trades will be posted to the dashboard in real time and, in Phase 3, verifiable on-chain.
Why Solana specifically?
Because it's the only mainstream US broker where a normal person can hold AAPL and a memecoin in the same account without leaving the app. That fact is the entire premise of the project.
Why is the chain widget the only thing that's 'real'?
Because public chain state (block height, gas, tx count) is safe to expose from the browser. Broker balances and market prices need a signed backend and a paid data feed. those come online with launch.
Is the RPC key exposed on the client?
The Alchemy RPC is used from the browser today because we're only reading public chain state, and this key was provided for that purpose. Any authenticated or write-path chain calls will move server-side into a TanStack Start server function so keys never ship to the client.
How often does everything update?
Thoughts: every 5s. Ticker prices: every ~2.5s. Solana snapshot: every 4s. Clock: every 1s. All from the browser; nothing is faked on a server.
Where's the contract address?
Not deployed yet. When it is, it goes on the homepage and this page, in that order, in the same minute.
